The Coleus The Flume, 'Coleus hybrid', has vividly marked saber-shaped foliage that is bright burgandy with a green border and a brilliant pink center. These new, bigger, sun loving varieties have revolutionized contanier gardening. The brilliant colors explode in sunny locations. Coleus plants are durable and easy to grow. The coleus plants are a tender perennials. Frost will cause them to die immediately. Coleus plants are so colorful that many people keep them and use them as a house plant. These plants will do best in temperatures above 55 degrees. Flower buds should be pinched off as soon as they develop. If a coleus plant is allowed to seed, it has completed its life cycle and will die. Coleus must have good soil drainage. Poorly drained soils and excessive watering will damage coleus. Daisy - Gypsy Rose The Gypsy Rose exhibits fast growth and is wonderfully floriferous grower for baskets, borders, and landscapes. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. These Daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. The deeply cut, dark green leaves are aromatic when bruised. |
