Coneflower - Sunrise

The Coneflower Sunrise, 'Echinacea purpurea', is an easy to grow flower that produces beautiful citron yellow daisy-like flowers. The center of this coneflower starts out green and turns gold. Blooming from July to October and a major attractor to butterflies and bees and deer resistant, it is a must for any perennial gardens. With its dark green foliage, Echinacea ‘Sunrise’ stands 30-35” high with a plant spread of 18”. For best results, plant in full sun in a well drained area. Echinacea is known for its large flower heads that turn to seed in the fall. A great choice for cut flowers, adding a wilderness look to your garden, combining great with Leucanthemum ‘Becky Daisy’ or in cottage gardens, it is a definite must. Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine. Iris - Best Bet Best Bet blooms in late spring to early summer and is an easily grown Iris. It prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate a little afternoon shade. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion. They also make magnificent cut flowers and are resistant to deer.
