Daisy - Springstar Aurora
The Daisy Springstar Aurora, 'Osteospermum ecklonis', was bred by Kientzler of Germany. The Springstar varieties are great for early cropping and all have a compact habit and are early flowering. The Springstar Aurora, a Proven Selections plant, produces beautiful dainty magenta flowers. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Lantana - Patriot Honeylove The Lantana Patriot Honeylove, 'Lantana "Patriot" Honeylove', is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright pink, butter yellow, and ivory flowers. The Honeylove Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. Some contact with foliage may irritate sensitive skin. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. All Lantana's are tough, resilient plants that thrive in hot weather and bloom profusely from spring until frost. |
