Dianthus - Blushing Maidens

The Dianthus 'Blushing Maidens' Dianthus Hybrid, has beautiful blush pink blooms and silver foliage. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Blushing Maidens’ is one not to miss. Dianthus ‘Blushing Maidens’ has a plant spread of 6-8” and a height of 6”. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage - a very pretty plant. ... additional information

 

Sedum - Black Jack The Sedum 'Black Jack', 'Sedum 'Black Jack' PPAF, is a recent discovery at Walters Garden in Michigan. The stems and foliage are darker than most sedum in its family. It has 2' tall clumps of purple stems with black to purple foliage. With a plant height and width of 24", its 8" pink flower heads bloom in September, making a wonderful contrast with its foliage. Plant in full sun to part sun with other Sedum or Salvia, it also makes a wonderful border plant. Protected by Plant Breeder's Rights - propagation prohibited.
