Grass - Fiber Optic Grass
The Fiber Optic Grass, 'Scirpus cernus/aka Isolepsis cernus', is a bright green grasslike plant with small flowers at the stem tips. Perfect for use in container edges, borders and beds. Fiber Optic Grass is a cute little rush (formerly known as Scirpus cernuus) forming 10-12" clumps with fine hair-like blades that terminate with a little tuft of inflorescence. Isolepis really does resemble those fiber optic lamps, except it only comes in green. This grass indeed looks like it is a small clump of green stems with fiber optic bulbs on each end. Spruce up your hanging baskets with this unique plant. The blooms are white to near white. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. ... details
