The Polemonium Stairway to Heaven, 'Polemonium reptans', has wonderful green leaves with white leave margins that are tinged pink. The pale lavender blue flowers are ¾ inches and are bell-shaped. ‘Stairway to Heaven’ blooms from June to July with a plant height of 1-2’ and a spread of 12-15””. ‘Stairway to Heaven’ needs to be planted in a fully shaded area but will tolerate some morning sun in well-drained soil. Its sturdy, dark stems look wonderful with the reddish-purple flowers. The umbrella-like flower heads bloom from August to September and it has a plant height of 16”.
