Moss - Scotch

The Sagina Golden Scotch Moss, 'Sagina subulata', is one of the most popular ground covers around. The lush, yellow-green foliage stays compact and produces tiny white flowers. It is extremely dense and spready by creeping stems to form it mossy carpet. ‘Golden Scotch Moss’ is not known for its flowering but its foliage. It has a plant height of 1-2” and a spread of 6-12”. ‘Golden Scotch Moss’ performs best in full sun and in moist, well-drained soil. The tiny white flowers will appear late spring into early summer. Scabiosa - Pink Passion Deadheading after the first bloom will encourage repeat bloom time. ‘Pink Passion' is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds and does excellent in rock gardens. It will do excellent for front-of-the-border areas, with Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam', Dianthus 'Bath's Pink', in mass plantings or as cut flowers.
