Peony - Raspberry Sundae
The Peony Raspberry Sundae, Paeonia lactiflora 'Raspberry Sundae' has white blooms with a raspberry swirled center across each bloom. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden. Tiarella - Crow Feather Foam Flower The Tiarella Crow Feather, 'Tiarella hybrid', also known as Foamflower, is becoming one of the most popluar shade perennials on the market today. ‘Crow Feather’ has bright green foliage with purple to black centers and is very fragrant. Best of all, the winter colors are more exciting. They are a mix of red, pink, black and purple. White flowers appear in the summer; however, Tiarella’s are not noted for their flowers. ‘Crow Feather’ has a plant height of 10-12” and a plant spread of 12-15”. Tiarella will do best in full shade and need average to moist soil. Try planting this popular perennial with Lamium ‘White Nancy’, Hosta ‘Patriot’ or ‘Japanese Painted Fern’.
