Phlox - Red Riding Hood

The Phlox Red Riding Hood, Phlox paniculata 'Red Riding Hood', has beautiful red blossoms on compact dark green stems and is a major attractant of butterflies and hummingbirds. Blooming from mid to late summer, it has a plant height of 18-22” and is extremely mildew resistant. It is a definite addition to any perennial garden. Fox Glove - Spanish Peaks The dense spikes produce large tubular flowers. The foliage has a velvet and fuzzy texture that contrast well with the flower colors. ‘Spanish Peaks’ has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12”. Digitalis should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade. It blooms early to mid summer, July to August. Being a major attraction to bees, butterflies and birds, it is a must in any garden. Remember to leave some dead flower stalks to self sow for future flowers. (All parts of Digitalis are poisonous if ingested and can be invasive.
