Hosta - Liberty The Hosta Liberty, Hosta 'Liberty' (PP12,531), is a sport of the well known variety Sagae and is considered by many to be the finest hosta ever introduced. It is a medium sized hosta that has a dark green leaves with a wide golden yellow margin that changes to cream in the summer and stems producing lavender colored flowers. The lavender flowers of this fast growing hosta bloom in late summer, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers.
